When Cyrus was just a year old, his parrents star yacht was shot down by pirates. All hands were lost, save for him. He was found by a group of Mercenaries shortly after the crash who were looking for valuables. Taking pity on him, they kept him around untill he was around 4, when they discovered his was force sensitive. Thinking they would receive a bounty, they traveled to Courscant and delivered him to the Jedi council.
By the age of 9 his powers were quite developed and he already had a more then one master considering him for padawanship. Master Jerric had pretty much considered him to be his padawan already, and was giving him instruction on the side.
